VanTransit.ca does not require an account and does not sell personal data.

Location

If you use "stops near me" or the locate button, your browser asks your permission and the nearest stops are calculated on your device. Your coordinates are not sent to VanTransit's servers.

Saved stops and settings

Saved stops, walking times and recently viewed pages are stored in your browser's local storage on your device only. Clearing your browser data removes them.

Analytics and advertising

VanTransit may use privacy-respecting analytics to count page views and may show advertising to cover hosting costs. Third-party ad providers may set cookies according to their own policies.

Server logs

Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) for security and troubleshooting, retained for a limited period.
